A 32-year-old woman wanted in connection to an Annapolis shooting was arrested Wednesday at an apartment complex in Florida, nearly three months after Raphael Johnson Jr. was shot dead in the Obery Court community.

Ronnisha Jacarra Harris was arrested around 2:45 p.m. Wednesday on a fugitive warrant in the area of Hidden River Drive in Tampa, according to booking information from the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office. Harris is being held without bond at the Falkenburg Road Jail, records show, while law enforcement officials arrange for her transfer to Maryland, said Annapolis Police spokesperson Bernie Bennett.

On March 2, shortly after 5 p.m., Annapolis Police officers found Johnson on the 100 block of Obery Court suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. The 48-year-old father of three, a longtime Anne Arundel County resident who coached little league flag football, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police identified Harris as a suspect two-and-a-half weeks after Johnson’s murder, saying at the time she had been charged with first- and second-degree murder. According to the Florida booking information, Harris’ fugitive warrant includes first- and second-degree assault, reckless endangerment and firearm charges.

It is unclear under what circumstances Harris stayed in Florida, though police believe she was with family, Bennett said. According to public records, Harris has listed addresses in Tampa a few miles from where she was arrested and according to Hillsborough County court documents, her wife filed for divorce in January.

The case was finalized in late March.

Johnson is one of 11 homicide victims in the county this year. Ten of the victims were killed with a gun.
