Firefighters were dispatched at 11:20 p.m. and found a storage area underneath steps outside the home on fire and spreading to the building, Annapolis Fire Department spokesperson Ken White said Saturday.

It took 20 minutes and 40 firefighters to bring the fire under control, White said.
