Fort Meade child care service relocated after coronavirus cases

Childcare operations at Fort George G. Meade will temporarily relocate after a handful of individuals at Child Development Center 3 tested positive for COVID-19.

It is unclear how many people tested positive for the virus. Those that did and those that may have been exposed are currently being quarantined, according to a Facebook post from the military installation.

The child development center is one of four centers. It is the only one operating as Fort Meade reopens their child care facilities.

Currently, the majority of children in the facilities are those that belong to single and dual active-duty families.
