Annapolis police identify man who died Friday after they believe he jumped from Spa Creek Bridge

Annapolis police identified the man who police said drowned after reports that he jumped from the Spa Creek Bridge Friday morning.

Police said John Grider, 33, of Chevy Chase, was reported to have jumped from the bridge, and around 1:27 a.m., officers, the Annapolis and Anne Arundel County fire departments and Coast Guard responded.

Preliminary investigation indicates it appears to be an accidental drowning.
