Kinzer and Norman volunteered at a blood drive last year, which made them want to organize their own.
“Blood drives help people from all works of life it was important for us to do this drive,” Kinzer said
Kinzer is a senior at Indian Creek School in Crownsville. She will be attending UNC-Chapel Hill in the fall to study pre-med and aspires to be a pediatrician.
Norman is a sophomore at Bullis School in Potomac and wants to become a dentist.
Norman said in a statement that is easy to work with the Red Cross and looks forward to working with them again soon. She plans to have another in September as part of Sickle Cell Disease Awareness Month.
