Thursday forecast: Increasing clouds, high near 44

The National Weather Service is calling for Thursday to be increasingly cloudy in the Baltimore area, with a high near 44 and south winds between 5 and 10 miles per hour.

A small craft advisory is in effect Thursday afternoon and Thursday night for the tidal Potomac River from Cobb Island to Smith Point and for the Maryland Chesapeake Bay from Sandy Point to Smith Point.

Thursday night is expected to gradually become partly cloudy, with a low around 30 and south winds around 5 miles per hour.

Friday is expected to be partly sunny, with a high near 53 and south winds between 5 and 8 miles per hour.

Friday night is expected to be mostly cloudy, with a low around 41 and southwest winds between 7 and 9 miles per hour.
