Thursday forecast: Partly sunny, high near 60

The National Weather Service is calling for Thursday to be partly sunny in the Baltimore area, with a high near 60 and west winds between 4 and 7 miles per hour, becoming calm.

Thursday night is expected to be rainy, mainly after 9 p.m., with a low around 46 and east winds 5 to 10 miles per hour, becoming northerly. The chance of precipitation is 100 percent. Rainfall amounts of between three quarters of an inch and one inch are possible.

A small craft advisory is in effect for the lower Maryland Chesapeake Bay and tidal Potomac River inlet from 10 p.m. Wednesday to 6 a.m. Friday.

Friday is expected to be partly sunny, with a high near 54 and north winds between 7 and 10 miles per hour.

Friday night is expected to be partly cloudy, with a low around 34 and northwest winds between three and six miles per hour.
