Abused goat found wandering in Linthicum gets new home

An abused goat found wandering in Anne Arundel County last month with a chain around her neck has a new home at a 22-acre animal rescue ranch in Odenton.

The 11-year-old goat who animal rescue officers named Tuscany was found wandering along a Linthicum road with a 23-pound chain embedded into her neck.

The Capital of Annapolis reports Wendy Cozzone offered the goat a home as soon as she saw the story in the newspaper.

Cozzone says she has other goats on her ranch that people have abandoned. One goat had been kept in a rowhouse. Tuscany will join 22 other goats on the rescue ranch, along with 35 ducks and miniature ponies, sheep, dogs, pigs and a cat.

Cozzone says Tuscany will never see a chain again.
