Traffic: Accident on Eastern Avenue near President Street

As of 9 a.m. Friday, traffic was slow on Eastern Avenue near President Street, due to an accident.

Accidents were slowing traffic on Edgewood Road near Pulaski Highway in Harford County, and Campbell Boulevard near Campbell Corporate Drive in Baltimore County.


A vehicle fire was slowing traffic on I-70 westbound near Route 27 in Mount Airy.

Numerous streets in downtown Baltimore were closed or partially closed in preparation for the Grand Prix of Baltimore this weekend, including Conway Street and portions of Pratt, Howard, Calvert and Russell streets. Some local buses have been diverted as a result.


Traffic was slow on I-895 near the Steel Bridge, due to construction activity.

Monument Street is closed between Wolfe Street and Patterson Park Avenue in East Baltimore, due to sinkhole repairs. Maryland Transit Administration bus 35 has been diverted.

The bus stop on Pratt Street at Sharp Street has been discontinued temporarily due to installation of a racetrack barrier for the Grand Prix of Baltimore. This affects MTA bus route numbers 7, 11, 19, 19X and 35.

Until further notice, the No. 14 bus stop located northbound on Crain Highway at Furnace Branch Road has been temporarily relocated due to construction.

The MTA is advising MARC patrons that the northbound Camden line train that usually departs from Union Station in Washington at 5:53 p.m. will not operate Friday, due to the Labor Day holiday. There will be a 2 p.m. departure from Union Station to Camden Yards, making all stops except Laurel Racetrack. Jessup and St. Denis will be flag stops.
