A teenager in western Maryland is accused of shooting at a couple with paintball guns.
Boonsboro police say 18-year-old Rockey Weston Rutherford of Keedysville faces charges of assault, reckless endangerment, malicious destruction of property and disturbing the peace.
Police say a Boonsboro couple heard a knock at their door on the night of Dec. 12 and, upon answering, were shot multiple times with paintball guns by five teenagers. The Herald-Mail of Hagerstown reports that police later stopped a car driven by Rutherford, and found paintball and soft pellet guns inside.
Police say the other teenagers were referred to Juvenile Services, and that they're investigating similar incidents.
