A 12-inch water main break at East Seminary Avenue and Oak Hampton Drive has shut down the thoroughfare, a spokesman for Baltimore's Department of Public Works said Friday.
Kurt Kocher said the break at Oak Hampton Drive has shut down East Seminary Avenue between Charmuth Road and Dulaney Valley Road. Detours are posted, Kocher said.
Crews are working to reopen East Seminary Avenue as soon as possible, but repairs are expected to continue into rush hour, Kocher said.
Kocher said 15 houses are without water. A nearby gated community on Oak Hampton Drive is also out of water. The cause of the break was also not immediately known, he said.
