A 47-year-old man has been charged in connection with the Monday morning robbery of a PNC Bank at Towson University, as well as another bank robbery last month, Baltimore County police said.
Larry McKnight of the 3400 block of Gwynns Falls Parkway is charged with one count of robbery for the incident on the Towson campus shortly after 10:30 a.m. Monday.
McKnight is a former employee of Chartwells catering, which provides food service to Towson, said university spokeswoman Carol Dunsworth.
He is also accused of entering the Bank of America in the 2800 block of Smith Avenue on Nov. 14, approaching the teller and handing her a note demanding money, police said.
In that incident, the robber fled on foot after receiving money from the teller, according to police.
McKnight is being held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center, police said. Detectives are investigating whether McKnight is connected to other crimes, according to police.
