Baltimore County Police said Saturday morning that a situation involving a “person in crisis” in the parking lot of the Home Depot on Industry Lane in the Timonium area was “resolved peacefully.”
County police made the announcement about 3 a.m., 12 hours after receiving the initial call from the man’s family, who were concerned about his well being.
They have re-opened local roads they had to close. About 50 people — some 40 customers and 10 employees — were kept in the Home Depot store as police tried to resolve the situation, said Lt. Andrea Bylen, a police spokeswoman.
Bylen said after getting the call from the family, police located him about 7 p.m. driving on York Road in Timonium and tried to get him to pull him over. He turned onto Industry Lane and stopped in the Home Depot parking lot.
