Police: Pikesville mother stabbed boy, 15, in leg

Baltimore County police have charged a Pikesville woman with stabbing her 15-year-old son in the leg during a Wednesday morning argument.

Jacqueline Natalie Smith, 33, of the first block of Stockmill Road, faces first-degree assault, child abuse and resisting arrest charges stemming from the incident.

At about 5:15 a.m., police were called to the first block of Stockmill Road for a report of "unknown trouble." There, the officers said they heard a "loud argument" from an apartment and they found the 15-year-old suffering from a stab wound to the upper leg.

The boy told police that he had been involved in an argument with his mother and she had stabbed him in the leg, officers said.

Smith was arrested and is being held at the Baltimore County Detention Center on $150,000 bail.

The boy was taken to Northwest Hospital, where he was being treated for non-life-threatening injuries, police said. Officers said they expect him to be released Wednesday.
