Fetus found in trash bin in Bel Air

A fetus was found in a Bel Air trash bin Tuesday night, following a phone call alerting police to the dead child, officials said.

Around 5:30 p.m. police heard from a caller who said that a mother had left her baby, which may have been stillborn, in a trash bin near the 900 block of Sablewood Road.

Deputies searched the area and found the body, officials said.

The investigation, which is being handled by Bel Air police, is ongoing and no other information was immediately available.
