A Baltimore man was sentenced Thursday to more than 21 years in prison for armed bank robbery and using a gun during a violent crime, prosecutors said.
In January and February of 2011, Gregory McNeil, 61, robbed two Baltimore County banks of more than $12,000 by pointing a handgun at a teller and demanding money, according to a statement Thursday from Maryland's U.S. Attorney's Office.
McNeil robbed a Catonsville Wachovia Bank on two occasions, about a month apart. He also pleaded guilty to robbing an M&T Bank branch in Milford Mill.
McNeil has previously been convicted of armed robbery and armed bank robbery.
