FORT WASHINGTON — Police say a man whose body was pulled from a well in Fort Washington was a homicide victim.
Prince George's County police identified the victim Sunday as 53-year-old Lenwood "Lenny" Harris of Alexandria, Va.
His body was found on Thursday after an anonymous caller tipped off police to its location. It was found at the bottom of a 20-foot well behind an unoccupied home. Authorities recovered it on Saturday, and an autopsy was performed.
Prince George's and Alexandria police are planning a joint news conference Monday to discuss the case.
