Two young women died and another was injured in a single-car accident in Silver Spring early Thursday, according to Montgomery County police spokesman Capt. Paul Starks.
The crash occurred around 3 a.m. at the intersection of University Boulevard and Piney Branch Road, police said.
The injured female was transported to a local hospital, Starks said. Her condition is unknown at this time.
Eastbound University Boulevard is expected to remain closed during the morning rush hour, police said. The westbound lanes are open.
