The father of a 2-year-old girl who was found alone in a Capitol Heights apartment Tuesday afternoon faces multiple charges, Prince George's County police said.
Anthony Venson, 24, has been charged with reckless endangerment, unattended child and neglect of a minor, according to police.
The girl was rescued after authorities received a call about 12:30 p.m. Tuesday from the child's mother, who was in a hospital and unable to reach the child's father, police said. Officers went to the apartment in the 6900 block of Walker Mill Road, where they found the girl in a back bedroom, police said.
The girl had been unattended for several hours and was "extremely hungry," according to police. The girl was unharmed, police said.
