: A customer was shot Tuesday evening during a robbery at a Royal Farms on Harford Road near Echodale Avenue in Baltimore's Hamilton neighborhood. Police say the two robbers, apparently in masks, fled on foot.
: The U.S. Justice Departmenthas opened an investigation of possible racial discrimination in hiring at the Baltimore County police and fire departments, according to correspondence between the agency and the county.
: Transgender people would be protected from discrimination in Baltimore County under a measure approved by the County Council Tuesday, making the county the fourth local government in Maryland to adopt such protections.
