: Leslie C. Norins, a 1958 Johns Hopkins University graduate, has established a charitable trust to fund an exchange program for students and young science faculty between Hopkins and an Australian research center, the university announced Monday.
: Two robberies and two attempted robberies were reported at the Columbia mall within the span of 43 hours, and Howard County police are investigating whether some or all of the incidents are related.
: State aid to public schools and universities could be slashed, 500 state jobs abolished and local law enforcement grants eliminated under a "doomsday" budget prepared for the Maryland Senate to show the impact of a budget balanced without tax increases.
