FROM LAST NIGHT...

: The new contract for the Baltimore Grand Prix calls for keeping the race's finances private, but race organizers say City Hall could choose to reveal that information. Downforce Racing is required to file monthly financial reports with the city.

: Gov. Martin O'Malley's same-sex marriage bill is set for a vote in a key Senate panel Tuesday, the next step after a drama-filled week in which the measure passed the House of Delegates by a narrow margin.

: About 6:15 p.m. Saturday, just as the family Jeep was making a left turn onto 8300 block of Harford Road, Michael Truluck said he was feeling sick. He opened the front passenger door, fell out of the vehicle and was struck by a Ford Explorer driving north on Harford Road.

TODAY'S FRONT PAGE

: Less than a year after Maryland took delivery of the first of the four C27Js it was set to receive, the Air Force has announced plans to cancel the aircraft as part of broader budget cutbacks. If the decision is approved by Congress, the Air Force will stop buying and operating the turboprops.

: The jury -- 12 jurors and two alternates -- all hail from the tight-knit community, where even more so than the rest of the country trial coverage is nearly impossible to avoid. And yet that's what the jury is being tasked with doing when they return Wednesday.

: The University of Maryland has used the lure of its reputation and financial stability to buy out small community hospitals -- like Upper Chesapeake Health in Harford County -- faced by competitive pressures and the uncertainty of health care reform.
