: Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul stormed through the University of Maryland on Wednesday, delivering his trademark libertarian message of noninterventionism and hands-off government to a wildly enthusiastic crowd of students who chanted his name.
: The trial of Avi and Eliyahu Werdesheim, Baltimore brothers charged with assault and false imprisonment for allegedly beating a black teenager in 2010 while members of a Jewish patrol group, was postponed for a sixth time Wednesday, the Baltimore State's Attorney's Office announced.
: The Center for Eating Disorders at Sheppard Pratt took a look at the social media outlet and found 75 percent of Facebook users were unhappy with their bodies, and 51 percent said Facebook makes them more conscious of their bodies and weight.
: Former President Bill Clinton will headline Stevenson University's just-announced speakers series. He'll open the 2012-2013 series on Oct. 16 with a talk about the challenge of globalization.

: Carroll County prosecutors have dropped reckless-endangerment charges against five former juvenile facility staff members in the death of a Baltimore teenager because the main detective on the case is being investigated for perjury.
: The 30-year-old was named Baltimore County's schools superintendent Tuesday, and he will be the youngest to hold the job in at least 50 years. He will turn 31 by the time he takes the helm July 1, when the current superintendent, Joe A. Hairston, leaves after 12 years in the post.
: Shelby Nichole Smith has been writing relatives while awaiting trial on federal charges that she was the enforcer for a violent sex ring run by her boyfriend. Police say the ring lured women with the promise of a singing career and instead forced them to work as prostitutes and strippers.
