Big Ten move a defining one for Maryland president Loh: The University of Maryland's decision to move from the ACC in favor of the Big Ten is so large  fundamentally changing the portal through which many alumni and donors interact with the university  that it seems likely to define Wllace Loh's presidency, for better or worse.

Speed cameras catch government vehicles: More than 8,000 of the $40 automated speed camera tickets have been issued to vehicles owned by the state, Baltimore City and Baltimore County since 2009. City-owned vehicles that have been snapped by the speed cameras include trash trucks, school system buses and street sweepers.
