An Annapolis man was arrested and charged with stabbing another man in the chest with a tire reamer Sunday evening, according to Annapolis police.
Otto Gordy, 38, of Annapolis was charged with assault, reckless endangerment, possession of a dangerous weapon with intent to injure and disorderly conduct after allegedly stabbing the victim around 5 p.m. in the 1100 block of Madison St., police said.
Gordy is being held on $500,000 bond, police said. The victim refused treatment.
According to a release from the Annapolis Police Department, officers responded to 327 calls for service and arrested 31 people in the past 72 hours.
Here is a sampling of other recent crimes, according to police:
Shooting: On Dec. 18 at 5 a.m., a 21-year-old male was shot in the left thigh as he was walking in the unit block of Bens Dr. The victim said he didn't know who shot him and couldn't provide a description. His injuries were not life-threatening.
Theft from vehicle: Between 10 p.m. on Dec. 7 and 10 a.m. on Dec. 8, an unknown suspect entered an unlocked vehicle in the 1300 block of Hawkins Lane and removed dog training materials, training shoes and a training bag.
Burglary: Between 5 and 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 16, an unknown suspect entered a boat in the 300 block of Burnside St. and removed an Apple MacBook laptop computer.
Burglary: Between 2 and 9 p.m. on Dec. 16, an unknown suspect broke the window in the back door of a residence in the 700 block of Mills Way to gain entry into the dwelling. Removed from the residence were: an HP laptop computer, two watches, an Xbox game console with three games, a buck knife, a black laptop bag and a black Dakine book bag.
Robbery: On Dec. 16 at 11 p.m., six to eight men surrounded the victim while he was walking home from work near the intersection of Clay Street and Bertina Nick Way. The suspects punched him and took his black North Face jacket.
Theft from vehicle: Between 2 and 5:30 a.m. on Dec. 17, an unknown suspect smashed the window of a vehicle in the 1800 block of West St. and removed a black leather Coach wallet that was left on the passenger seat.
Robbery: Between 10:30 and 11:30 p.m. on Dec. 17, Albert Terry Green, 25, of Annapolis was involved in an argument with his ex-girlfriend in the unit block of Pleasant St. After the dispute became physical, Green took the victim's cell phone by force, police said. He was charged with robbery, assault, theft and destruction of property, according to police. He is being held on $75,000 bond.
Robbery: Between 11:30 p.m. on Dec. 17 and 12:30 a.m. on Dec. 18, the victim was approached by two women in a common area of her apartment building in the unit block of West Washington St. One of the suspects asked for money. When the victim started pulling out money, the other suspect put her in a head lock. The remaining money was removed from the victim's pocket before she was able to break free and run away.
Theft: On Dec. 18 at 1:30 p.m., three suspects were arrested for allegedly stealing three jackets worth $850 from Helly Hansen in the 100 block of Main St. Dontay Irby, 19, of Fort Washington, Keon Wallace, 18, of Bowie, and Darrick Wallace, 19, of Bowie were captured after employees gave police a description of their vehicle. Officers located the vehicle, with the jackets inside, on Rowe Boulevard.
