Towson court open after bed bugs prompt brief closure

Towson district courthouse will reopen Thursday morning after inspection finds no additional bed bugs.

The Towson location of the District Court of Maryland closed 30 minutes early Wednesday after two bed bugs were discovered in a file room, a spokeswoman for the Maryland Judiciary confirmed.

The courthouse will open as usual Thursday after an exterminator found no other bed bugs during a morning inspection, said Maryland Judiciary spokeswoman Angelita Plemmer Williams.

The courthouse on Chesapeake Avenue also closed in December after one bed bug was found in the building.
