A second Maryland resident has tested negative for the coronavirus as the state has yet to see its first confirmed case of the deadly virus.
The Maryland Department of Health confirmed Sunday that tests for coronavirus in a second Maryland resident came back negative. A first resident tested negative last month.
The new virus has continued to sicken and kill people, largely in China, and 11 people have tested positive from the virus in the United States.
China has instituted strict travel restrictions, but the virus continues to emerge elsewhere, as cases have been reported in 28 countries, according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
