Baltimore to start violence intervention programs at hospitals

The Baltimore City Health Department has won a $500,000 grant that it will use to create a violence intervention program at hospitals.

The first program will be set up at Johns Hopkins Hospital and will use hospital responders to reduce violence-related injury re-admissions by resolving conflicts immediately. It extends the city's Safe Streets program.
