Thomas Hartung

Thomas Hartung is the Director, Center for Alternatives to Animal Testing at Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health. He has created mini-brains that can be used to test for different types of diseases. The mini-brains are the size of the eye of a fly. One of the mini-brains is pictured on his computer screen. Johns Hopkins researcher among new waive of scientists using mini brains to conduct neurological research.
