Torrey Smith, pictured, had three catches for 61 yards, including one for 41, but the Ravens have to be more creative in getting him the ball. Smith has the ability to break a long gain any time he touches the ball and a high number of touches for him should be a priority. Marlon Brown appears more comfortable in the slot and Tandon Doss had two big catches. The Ravens, though, need to find a tight end who can dominate because they didn't get the job done against the Steelers. Grade: C+

Like Joe Flacco, this group started out slow but got in sync during the second half. Right guard Marshal Yanda is tipping plays with his stance on running plays, and it is apparent that both Yanda (shoulder) and left guard Kelechi Osemele (back) are still not 100 percent. The Ravens allowed only one sack and Flacco was pressured only twice. Run blocking still needs to improve. Grade: C

Defensive line: D
Karl Merton Ferron, Baltimore Sun
The Ravens got train wrecked up front. Nose tackle Haloti Ngata couldn't stand up against Pittsburgh's double teams and got moved off the ball several times. Ravens defensive ends Arthur Jones and Chris Canty didn't have stellar games and few in this group made a real difference. The Steelers averaged 4.9 yards per carry. Pittsburgh brought their "A" game and the Ravens left theirs back in Baltimore. Grade: D

Linebackers: C

The Ravens had three sacks, but overall the Steelers did a nice job of identifying both outside linebackers Terrell Suggs and Elvis Dumervil, pictured, and sliding protections to both of them. Suggs had one sack but was solid against the run. He finished with seven tackles, two behind team leader Daryl Smith. Smith was in on a lot of plays, but he seemed to get washed down by the Steelers, who had a lot of cutback runs. Grade: C

During the most important part of the game, this group failed to make a play. On the Steelers' last drive, cornerback Lardarius Webb got a pass interference call and Corey Graham got beat on a significant passing play. Regardless of how the Ravens play, you're always holding your breath and wondering when they are going to give up a big play. The talent is there, but the mental capacity is questionable. Grade: C
