Receivers: C+
Christopher T. Assaf, Baltimore Sun
It took two games before the Ravens went down the field with Torrey Smith, but cornerback Johnathan Joseph is no match for Smith. Smith finished with five catches for 92 yards, including one reception for 48 yards. It was nice to see tight end Dallas Clark get involved in the offense. The Ravens, though, have to get more receivers involved in the offense. Grade: C+.

Offensive line: C
Lloyd Fox, Baltimore Sun
The tackle play by the Ravens in the first half was extremely poor. Bryant McKinnie continues to struggle in pass protection and right tackle Michael Oher had his problems as well. The Ravens offensive line pounded the Texans in the second half, and that's a good sign for a team. Right guard Marshal Yanda, center, did a nice job against Texans defensive end J.J. Watt. Watt had nine tackles, but some of those came from moving along the defensive line. Grade: C.

Defensive line: A-
Kenneth K. Lam, Baltimore Sun
The Ravens were dominant up front and held the Texans to 94 rushing yards. The front line also pressured Texans quarterback Matt Schaub as Haloti Ngata and Arthur Jones each had one sack. The entire defense played well, but this group was outstanding because the Ravens played with about three or four in the regular rotation due to injuries. Grade: A-.

Linebackers: B
Kenneth K. Lam, Baltimore Sun
Daryl Smith had an interception return for a touchdown, and he led all tacklers with 10. As usual, both rush linebackers Terrell Suggs and Elvis Dumervil kept constant pressure, and Suggs had one sack. Strong-side linebacker Courtney Upshaw has to do a more consistent job of shedding blockers versus the run, and weak-side linebacker Josh Bynes missed a lot of tackles because he attempts to bring down ball-carriers with his arms. Grade: B.

This was this unit's best game of the season against a good group of receivers. Cornerbacks Lardarius Webb, pictured, and Jimmy Smith were physical, and safeties Matt Elam and James Ihedigbo came up fast and strong. When the Ravens were playing prevent defense, they kept everything in front of them and tackled well. The closing speed was exceptional. Grade: A-.
