The early afternoon rain forced Ed Bernard, who was mowing the median strip along Ritchie Highway, to quit early. Bernard, who works for K.D. Faulkner Landscape, LLC, said "When it's too wet we can't work. All the rain makes the grass grow taller. In some places we have to go over it twice, or three times."
