Winter restaurant week promotions will return beginning in January in Baltimore and surrounding counties.
Baltimore Restaurant Week, held each winter and summer, starts Jan. 12 and runs through Jan. 21.
Like its summer counterpart, Winter Restaurant Week is intended to boost restaurant business during a slow period for the industry. Restaurants participating in the promotion can pick their own prices, with prix-fixe menus ranging from $12 to $20 for two-course brunches and lunches, and $20 to $35 for three-course dinners.
At least 80 restaurants are participating in the city’s promotion, including Aggio, Cask & Grain Kitchen, Five & Dime Ale House, Minnow, Nailah’s Kitchen and the Helmand.
A number of restaurants usually opt to extend their restaurant week offerings beyond the 10-day period.
The promotion is put on by the Downtown Partnership of Baltimore and Visit Baltimore.
Heavy Seas Beer is among Baltimore Restaurant Week’s sponsors, and the Halethorpe brewery plans to release a new beer in tandem with the 10-day promotion. AmeriCannon, a double dry-hopped American pale ale, will debut during restaurant week. The beer then will become available year-round everywhere Heavy Seas is distributed.
AmeriCannon joins Heavy Seas’ “Cannon Crew,” a line of beers that includes the brewery’s popular Loose Cannon India pale ale, TropiCannon citrus IPA and Double Cannon double IPA varieties.
