Right away, the wine announces itself with a gorgeous aroma that is a dead ringer for a fine red Burgundy. Oregon makes many fine pinot noirs, but this comes as close to the French style as any I've tasted. It shows more elegance than power. The color is a very Burgundian light red. The flavor is pure, unadulterated pinot noir, with its touches of black cherry and cassis. The vibrant acidity ensures a long, satisfying finish. It's not cheap but competes with wines at twice the price.
