Villa Italian Kitchen is proving no food is safe from fall's pumpkin spice craze.
The New Jersey-based pizza chain will begin serving pumpkin spice pizzas at about 230 locations starting Friday.
The dough for each pizza will be coated with pumpkin pie filling, nutmeg, clove and cinnamon and topped with whole-milk mozzarella cheese. After each pie is baked, it will be topped with extra dollops of pumpkin pie filling.
Summertime produce gets all the love, but when the mercury drops and the leaves start to change, farmers' markets fill up with an exciting new batch of fruits and vegetables. These creative dishes prove there's more to autumn cuisine than pumpkin spice lattes.

Villa Italian Kitchen has locations in malls in Bel Air, Bowie, Columbia, Salisbury, Westminster, and White Marsh, as well as a shop at Baltimore/Washington International Airport.
It's the first year Villa has offered the pumpkin spice, and slices will cost $4.09 at most participating locations.
