Everyman Theatre has enlisted a food truck to provide dinner for its patrons at its new home.

When the professional Equity theater reopens in its new home on West Fayette Street, Charm City Gourmet will be parked outside the theater for several hours before each performance. Patrons will be able to order from the truck and eat their food outside, but Charm City Gourmet will also be providing table service inside the theater's lobby.


The truck, a side project of Shapiro's Cafe, serves a full cafe menu that includes New England lobster rolls, falafel and Israeli salads.

The theater's grand opening week, scheduled for Jan. 14-20, kicks off with a ribbon-cutting. The official run of "August: Osage County" is Jan. 16-Feb. 17.

Dinner and arias Sotto Sopra is back with more Sunday night opera events.

The monthly Opera Night features a five-course dinner and live performances of popular arias and duets. The winter schedule begins Jan. 20 with a lineup of Karen Myers (soprano), Paul McIlvaine (tenor), Tom Hetrick (piano) and Annie Gill (soprano). The other dates are Feb. 24 and March 17.

Riccardo Bosio's menu for Jan. 20 includes escargot ragout, "broken" duck confit, orange-clove sorbet, pan-seared rockfish and panettone pudding.

Dinner and anemones The National Aquarium has announced the lineup for the fifth season of the Fresh Thoughts Sustainable Seafood Dining Series.

This year, chefs from Laurrapin Grille (Havre de Grace), the Oregon Grille and Fleet Street Kitchen are headlining the series, which focuses on sustainable seafood choices available in the Mid-Atlantic region.

Each dinner features a cocktail reception with regional wines and a cooking demonstration led by the guest chef followed by four-course dinner created for the event. The event concludes with a nighttime stroll through the Aquarium.

Then there was the time ... The producers of Baltimore's popular Stoop Storytelling series have recently debuted a new series of Second Stoop shows. Held at the Windup Space on North Avenue, the Second Stoop shows feature an all-audience lineup of storytellers.

The next Second Stoop show is "Order Up: Stories About Working in Restaurants."

Can you imagine that? People with funny stories about working in restaurants?

If you have some, show up on Jan. 15 with a three-minute story in your head. Everyone is welcome to put their name in a hat. Storytellers, anywhere from 10 to 15 of them, according to Stoop Storytelling founder Laura Wexler, will get a chance to get things off their chests.

Who loves Baltimore? Sun of Italy, a Baltimore-based provider of Italian foods, has launched a contest that invites Baltimoreans to share their hometown pride online for a chance to win one of three "Charm City prizes."

The prizes include dinner for four at La Scala in Little Italy, a year's worth of free olive oil and an appearance in a 15-second commercial on Fox 45 and $200 in Sun of Italy merchandise.

Dubbed BaltAmore, the contest is designed to build local and regional awareness of the family-owned and -operated Sun of Italy brand.

Now headquartered near the Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, Sun of Italy has been run by five generations of the Pastore family. The company manufactures a variety of products, recognizable by their bright yellow packaging, including olive oil, Italian seasonings and spaghetti sauce. Products are available in stores across Pennsylvania, Washington, Virginia and Maryland.

The contest started Jan. 1 and continues through Feb. 28.
