Mother's Day dining options in and around Baltimore

Restaurants in and around Baltimore are preparing special menus for Mother's Day on May 14. Here are some of the spots where you can treat your mom to brunch or dinner; many suggest reservations.

Aida Bistro & Wine Bar in Columbia will serve a three-course Mother's Day lunch and dinner for $45 per person. (6741 Columbia Gateway Drive; 410-953-0500;

Baroak in Annapolis will serve a Mother's Day brunch for $44 per person, with champagne included. The cost is $18 for children ages 6-12. (126 West St.; 410-295-3225;

Blackwall Hitch in Annapolis will offer a Mother's Day brunch for $39.99 per person ($14.99 per child 13 and younger), as well as $1 mimosas. The menu includes fried chicken and Belgian waffles, breakfast meats, a carving station, a seafood station, pastries and made-to-order omelets. (400 6th St.; 410-263-3454;

Charleston in Harbor East will offer a four-course Mother's Day brunch for $75 per person. Menu selections include she-crab soup, Scottish salmon tartare, chanterelle mushroom puff pastry tart, pan-roasted sea scallops, braised beef shortrib, pomegranate-marinated grilled quail and seasonal desserts. Cinghiale in Harbor East will serve a three-course Mother's Day brunch for $42 per person. The menu includes pan-roasted black bass, grilled magret of duck, onion thyme frittata and griddled cinnamon brioche. The restaurant's a la carte menu will be available, as well. Explorer's Restaurant & Lounge at the Royal Sonesta Harbor Court hotel will offer Mother's Day brunch, including unlimited mimosas and bloody marys, a carving station, salad bar, hot station, breakfast bar, seafood station and kids' options. Fleming's Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar will serve a three-course Mother's Day brunch for $44.95 per adult and $18.95 per child. Milton Inn in Sparks will serve Mother's Day brunch. The three-course meal is $47 per person and includes menu options such as beef tartare, watermelon gazpacho, smoked salmon, a crab omelet, wild mushroom phyllo and French toast. (14833 York Road; 410-771-4366;

Mt. Washington Tavern will offer a Mother's Day brunch, and all moms dining at the restaurant will receive a special herbal scrub. The restaurant will serve an a la carte brunch menu, or a buffet for $24 per person ($12 for children under 10).
