The best waffles in Maryland can be found in Baltimore, according to the latest ranking by the Food Network.

The network recently released its “50 States of Waffles” — a roundup of the best waffles in each state, where Connie’s Chicken & Waffles was named Maryland’s top waffle maker.

Owned by Khari and Sean Parker, Connie’s has two locations. The original launched in Lexington Market, where “its fried chicken and waffles have generated a following to rival longtime mainstays like Berger’s Bakery and Faidley’s Seafood,” the Food Network writes. Connie’s also opened a second location at the Charles Plaza food court.

The Food Network’s full list of the country’s best waffles is here.
