After reopening less than a year ago, it appears Clementine, a restaurant in Hamilton-Lauraville, has closed again.
OpenTable indicates the restaurant is permanently closed, and a message on the restaurant's voicemail says it has temporarily suspended business to focus on its catering and events arm. That's the same reason the restaurant closed in 2015 after seven years.
Clementine originally opened in 2008 serving farm-to-table fare. After it closed, the restaurant filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection last April as husband-and-wife owners Winston Blick and Cristin Dadant restructured the business and continued their catering work. They decided to reopen when they felt a void without the restaurant, located at 5402 Harford Road.
Blick set out to raise $40,000 last year to assist with the reopening, and the GoFundMe page shows Clementine raised about $8,500. It reopened in late December.
A note on Clementine's website said the restaurant would be closed July 17-23. But it has not reopened since then.
