B. Doughnut, a shop that got its start in Hampden before relocating to Northern Virginia, is returning to Baltimore for a recurring weekend pop-up.
The shop will pop up at Mount Vernon Marketplace on Saturdays and Sundays starting this weekend, according to a post on B. Doughnutās Facebook page. B. Doughnut will offer its doughnuts at the market from 11 a.m. until sell-out, according to the post.
B. Doughnut operated in Hampden for a year before closing in November 2016 and moving its shop to Leesburg, Va. The doughnut maker now offers its sweets at five additional locations throughout the Washington area.
The shopās website indicates it plans to open new locations in La Plata, Alexandria, Va., and Arlington, Va., this spring.
B. Doughnut is one in a line of doughnut shops that have been housed at 3528 Chestnut Ave. in Hampden. The shop was replaced by Center Cut Doughnuts when it left Baltimore, and Full Circle Artisan Palace recently took Center Cutās place.
Brian and Pin Chanthapanya, the husband-and-wife owners of B. Doughnut, could not be reached for comment.
