Italian Disco, a new pizzeria and restaurant, will open in Harbor East this spring, Atlas Restaurant Group announced earlier this week.
Located at 1006 Fleet St., Italian Disco will serve pizza, sandwiches, pasta and entrees. The menu — which will be created by chef Julian Marucci (also the chef at Tagliata and the Elk Room) — has not been finalized, Joe Sweeney, director of marketing for Atlas, said in an email. The space housed Bagby Pizza Co. from 2009 until the pizzeria closed at the end of 2017.
Sweeney said Italian Disco’s approach will be unlike Atlas’ most other properties, which includes high-end Harbor East restaurants like Tagliata, Azumi and Ouzo Bay. Nothing on the menu will cost more than $25, Marucci said in a news release.
“We definitely want the local business people to have a lunch spot again,” Sweeney said. The goal is to “give them a solid quick-service lunch option again[.]”
The restaurant will seat 75 people, and feature a bar with 50 beers on draft — most of which will be imports, according to the release.
