Woodberry, R& R Taqueira make Sietsema's list

Tom Sietsema's Fall Dining Guide popped up online. And among the 40 restaurants included in the Washington Post's annual survey -- Baltimore's own Woodberry Kitchen.

Here's Sietsema on WK: "The happiest place on earth? Chef Spike Gjerde's celebration of the Chesapeake region in Baltimore's Hampden neighborhood is a serious contender." This is Woodberry Kitchen's debut on Sietsema's list. Charleston, which made the 2010 list, is off this year's.

Also making the list, R&R Taqueria in Elkridge. This sent the HowChow blogger, who has been trumpeting R&R all year, over the moon. "This is one of my proudest days as a minor food blogger," the blogger says.

R&R is closer to Baltimore than to Washington, and the HowChow blogger has encouraged me to make a trip to the converted gas station taqueria about a million times. Now, I'll have to wait until the post-Dining Guide excitement peters out.
