Clipper Mill's Woodberry Kitchen has been named one of America's 38 "essential" restaurants by Bill Addison, the restaurant editor and food critic on eater.com.
In choosing chef Spike Gjerde's Woodberry Kitchen as one of 11 restaurants under the subhead "Regional Americana," Addison praised the restaurant for both its local flavor and its attention to regional cooking traditions.
"Quirky, endearing recipes of the Chesapeake region have sadly started disappearing," Addison writes. "They've found an able champion in Gjerde."
