It was making me crazy when people said Fresh & Green's was owned by the Scarsdale, N.Y.-based Mrs. Green's chain of natural markets. It was like saying ABC News is owned by Daisy Duck. Here, as a service to the local media, is the official boilerplate regarding the ownership of Fresh & Green's:
"Fresh & Green's is owned by Natural Market Restaurant Corporation (NMRC), a multi-banner food service company that has created and operates innovative, open marketplace restaurant concepts and natural food retail stores also including Mrs. Green's Natural Market, Planet Organic Market, Richtree Market Restaurants and soon to open Wilde and Greene."
