Veteran Baltimore caterer Charles Levine to open Quarry Lake restaurant

New restaurant coming to Quarry Lake.

The veteran Baltimore caterer Charles Levine will open his first restaurant, Citron, at Quarry Lake at Greenspring, a mixed-use development near Pikesville in Baltimore County.

Citron, which is scheduled to break ground next month, will open in the summer of 2016, according to a press announcement from the restaurant.

Levine founded his company, the Owings Mills-based Charles Levine Caterers, in 1985 as an off-premise catering company after starting and running the catering division at the Pimlico Hotel & Restaurant, where he was for a time the managing director.

The 10,500-square-foot restaurant will seat 230 in a dining room, bar and on an outside patio. The interior will be designed by Jenkins Baer Associates. Dan Benedix, recently the executive chef at Green Spring Valley Hunt Club, has been hired as Citron's executive chef.
