'Tiny' Harris visits Baltimore on Saturday to promote her own tequila

For years in hip-hop, aspiring male moguls were the ones pushing liquor brands, from Sean Combs' deal with Diageo's Ciroc and DeLeon brands to Birdman's affiliation with Grand Touring Vodka.

But in January 2013, when Nicki Minaj became a part-owner and face of Myx Fusions' moscato wine beverage, the "Pinkprint" star helped open a lane for women in the hip-hop community to explore similar business opportunities.

Tameka "Tiny" Harris is the latest female figure to push some alcohol, and on Saturday, she'll host a launch party for Tiny's Tequila at Paparazzi (407 E. Saratoga St.) from 8 p.m.-2 a.m. Two types of the fruit-flavored-infused tequila, Orange Blossom (honey-orange) and Lime Light (lime), will be available. Tickets are on sale now.

Harris, a Georgia native, is best known as a reality TV star on VH1. She and her husband, rapper T.I., star in "T.I. & Tiny: The Family Hustle." In July, she released an R&B single called "What the F@#k You Gon Do?" In October, her second VH1 show, "Tiny and Shekinah's Weave Trip," debuted. Years ago, she was a member of the successful R&B group Xscape and won a Grammy for a writing credit on TLC's "No Scrubs."

Harris was also recently in the news for having surgery that changed her natural eye color, brown, to "ice gray." You can watch her discuss the procedure on ABC's "Good Morning America" in the video clip at the top of this post.
