Baltimore-based steakhouse The Prime Rib will join the line-up of restaurants at the Maryland Live Casino, Cordish Cos. officials announced Wednesday.
The Prime Rib joins the previously announced Cheesecake Factory and Phillips Seafood, which will be part of a station-style buffet. Celebrity chef Bobby Flay, whose participation in Maryland Live was first announced in October 2010, will be represented by his Bobby's Burger Palace brand.
The Prime Rib addition is a coup for Cordish, which had originally announced that Ruth's Chris would be the steak house brand at Maryland Live. The Prime Rib, established in Baltimore in 1965 by brothers Buzz and Nick Beler, is an area dining institution, with locations in Washington, D.C. and Baltimore. According to Buzz Beler, negotiations to bring the Prime Rib brand to Maryland Live began in late 2011.
