The Emporiyum is returning to Baltimore.
Founded in 2013 by Mindy Schapiro and Sue-Jean Chun, The Emporiyum is a two-day showcase for local culinary talent alongside nationally recognized chefs and artisans.
Held last year in the Thames Street Wharf building, which vendors and guests alike found cramped, the marketplace is relocating for its second year in Baltimore to the former H&S Bakery distribution center at 601 S. Eden St.
Among the 60-some vendors are such regional favorites as Shake Shack, Luke's Lobster, Bread Furst and Fatty Sundays. Joining them at the event will be regional chefs like Spike Gjerde (Woodberry Kitchen) and Erik Bruner-Yang (Toki Underground and Maketto).
The Emporiyum is 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 18 and 19. Tickets are $15 to $40 depending on entry time — the earlier the admission, the more expensive the ticket. Tickets and more information are at theemporiyum.com.
