On Monday, Dooby's in Mount Vernon is hosting Rye & Roast, a Southern-style dinner featuring spirits from the Copper Fox Distillery in Sperryville, Va.
Chef Tim Dyson's family-style menu for Rye & Roast includes dry-aged pork neck roast, chicken-fried shrimp, collard greens, sweet-potato bake, deviled eggs and more. The dinner will be paired with drinks, designed by Dooby's new bar manager, Chelsea Gregoire, made with Copper Fox rye, gin and single malt whiskey.

• Le Garage in Hampden is hosting a Bourbon, Beer and Whole Hog Tasting on Wednesday. The event will feature bourbon flights from Buffalo Trace Distillery (Frankfort, Ky.) and barrel-aged beers to accompany an al la carte menu of pork dishes from "every part of the pig." The menu includes a "cowboy" pork chop, a head-and-trotter terrine and a Croque Madame with house-cured ham, Mornay sauce and a fried egg. No reservations are necessary.
• Gertrude's starts its annual schedule of holiday tea this Friday. Seatings for the teas, which feature both sweet and savory treats, are at 2 p.m., 2:30 p.m. and 3 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays through Jan. 3 (except for Dec. 12).
The cost is $30 for adults and $20 for children under 12. (There is a separate children's menu). Reservations are required, and must be made by phone with a credit card. Call 410-889-3399.
• Jack Binion's Steak at Horseshoe Baltimore Casino has added weekday and Sunday brunch service through the end of December.
The weekday lunch is served 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and the Sunday brunch, which features carving stations, made-to-order omelets and fresh pastries, is served 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
• Ruth's Chris Steak Houses in Pikesville, downtown and the Inner Harbor have also started lunch service for the holidays. The restaurant will serve lunch on weekdays, 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., through Christmas Eve. The lunch menu includes full entrees as well as a steak sandwich, a USDA prime burger and a French dip sandwich.
