Fleet Street Kitchen, which closed this month for renovations and rebranding, will be replaced by a new Italian chophouse called Tagliata.
The Harbor East restaurant, at 1012 Fleet St., is targeting an early summer opening, according to a news release from the Atlas Restaurant Group.
Tagliata's menu will emphasize a variety of steaks and chops — the name means "'to cut or slice meat" — as well as pastas and charcuterie made by chef Julian Marucci.
The restaurant will also carry more than 1,000 wines in its cellar, which it claims will be the largest wine list in the city.
Atlas Restaurant Group took over Fleet Street Kitchen and the adjacent Ten Ten Bistro, previously owned by Bagby Restaurant Group, in November. Atlas plans to overhaul both spaces, and closed Fleet Street Kitchen on Jan. 4 for renovations.
Tagliata will seat 140 guests indoors, plus 75 in an outdoor courtyard between it and the Ten Ten space. The lower level of the restaurant, a bar and lounge area, will feature piano music nightly.
Atlas Restaurant Group also owns Ouzo Bay, Azumi and Loch Bar in Harbor East.
